Ruaha National park

well come to Ruaha national park the last 'enclave' of wildlife and the second largest wildlife protection area in Africa.However is Tanzania's largest elephant's sanctuary and the park is home to all big five animals except Rhinoceros, Lesser and greater Kudu which are not found in northern circuit of Tanzania,giraffe,zebra,hippo,crocodile,notwithstanding there are several antelope species such as eland,grants gazelle, waterbuck, reedbuck,sable and roan.Various predators such as cheetah, both stripped and spotted hyena and wild dog.The park with more than 370 bird life species have been recorded.The best months for widlife safari's in Ruaha are during the dry season from July to November in this period animals become concentrated around the shrinking water source especially Ruaha river.
